You can’t tell but it was 100º when we took this shot. Everyone was a good sport & no one melted.
Travis carries the torch that his grandfather, Earl Adams, lit in 1965. Travis will be the one singing about Mimi’s cornbread at your Sing Songs, pulling you on the tractor for truck rides, instigating watermelon fights on the Sunday Hike, and talking with you about life on Flag Pole Hill after supper. Travis is married to the love of his life, Mandi Adams, and they have a toddler named Barrett (a.k.a. Bear) and another boy on the way. Travis graduated from Texas Christian University in 2003 and received his MBA in Entrepreneurship from the Acton School of Business in 2009. Travis’s passion is impacting youth, just like you, in a profound, positive, and truthful way. “Love the kids” is more than Camp’s mission to Travis, it’s his calling. Whether it’s implementing a way for you to grade your counselors or creating new cabin traditions, Travis is constantly looking at ways to improve your Huawni experience. This will be Travis’s 33rd summer at Camp Huawni and yes, just like you, he’s still a kid at heart.
