football and taught biology at Plano High School and later
at Henderson High School. Subsequently, he earned a masters
degree, mid-management degree and superintendency

can survive in a house with four women.” Pat and Linda’s
daughters are all cheerleaders - Kara and Dana both cheered
for the Horned Frogs in Fort Worth. Kara graduated from TCU
with a degree in secondary education. In May, 2000, Kara
married Matt Gregory, a native of Michigan and graduate of
Eastern Michigan University, at the “little red church” near
camp - they now serve as in-session directors of Camp
Huawni.. Both Kara and Matt teach in the Fort Worth ISD.
Dana graduated from TCU in 2003 majoring in nursing. She is
pursuing her nursing career in Fort Worth. Lesa graduated
from Henderson High School in May, 2003 and entered TCU in
the fall. All three girls have been campers and counselors
at Huawni.
Pat and Linda make their home in Henderson and spend their
summers at Camp Huawni. Among other things at Huawni, Pat is
known as the creator of “Filbert the Frog” and the author of
“The Wild Woman Song.” Linda is an elementary school teacher
