Session 4 Opening Day is coming to a close. It was a pleasure meeting all our new Huawni families and welcoming back our veteran campers. Today’s been eventful to say the least. We had our first campers from France show up, we watched the second half of the Argentina vs. Germany match, and we ran in to former chief and alum, Chris Lackey.

I really enjoy seeing alumni bring their children back to Huawni for the first time. Talking to Chris was special; he communicated to me that Huawni was very much the same as when he came. That made me smile.

Before dinner we hosted our camper orientation, after which we feasted on Ms. Ada’s famous fried chicken. Next, the staff put on Opening Night Show, a theatrical presentation led by our counseling staff. Opening Night Show just finished up, and now we’re playing a good old game of Capture the Flag in the Front Yard.

Parents, be sure and subscribe to this blog, or check Facebook, and I’ll be updating you every step of the way this session. Please feel free to leave your comments below where it says What are you gonna say?. I love hearing from you as you experience Huawni through our website from home.

Time to go play with the kids!
