We can’t believe it’s already Thursday of Session 5! Thursday’s are notoriously known for cabin’s getting to choose their own activity, AKA Connect. The Critter Pond, swimming pool and the High Ropes course were the popular activities this morning.

One of my favorite activities as a Director is Soccer. This afternoon, Campers and Counselors gathered on the soccer field to face off. Red battled against Blue and it was a fun-filled match that ended in the Blue Team taking the win 4-1. It’s always fun seeing kids competitive sides come out on the field!

Right after the final whistle was blown, all of camp headed to Flag Pole Hill for the Famous, Famous, MOST FAMOUS Slip n’ Slide and Snocones! Campers and Counselors took turns flying down the slip n’ slide while waiting for their cabin to be called up for a snocone. The activity ended with none other than a good ’ol fashioned dance party!

Last night we had a surprise for the kids, CELEBRATION! We usually don’t get the chance to have Celebration during our one week sessions due to the shortened time. Celebration is a great chance for all of camp to come together and enjoy a night together. The theme for the night was North Country Fair. We enjoyed games like Ring Toss, Guessing Booth and Sac Races. And of course, the only way to end Celebration is with Root Beer floats!

We decided to throw in ONE more surprise for the kiddos – a movie night on Flag Pole Hill! We popped in Cheaper by the Dozen, snacked on some popcorn and candy and enjoyed the cool breeze that accompanied us.

Session 5 has flown by and it’s crazy that today is already the last full day at Camp. We spent the morning at activities, and then all of Camp will come together this afternoon for Critter Pond Mixer. We’re so excited for the 58 new members that will initiated into the Huawni Tribe this evening!
