One of my favorite activities growing up at Camp was high ropes. Did you know that at one time Camp Huawni supposedly had the second longest zip line in Texas? By the mid 1990’s, we had to discontinue our high ropes program partly because our course was built in live, age-old pine trees.

I am very excited to announce our pursuit to bring back the ropes course this coming summer. We’re calling it the #BringBackTheRopesCourse Campaign. I hope you enjoy this video!

In an effort to raise Camperships (our word for camper scholarships) for children in need this fall, Camp has pledged to spend $1 for every $1 that is donated to the Camp Huawni Campership fund on or before 12/31/14 , up to $50,000.
