| The Huawni Program |
The Huawni Program begins with simple, uncomplicated, wholesome fun. It builds on the active nature of the schedule by creating an environment where kids and counselors get to know each other.
The daily schedule is a balanced combination of outdoor activities and sports events. It can be as simple and natural as playing in the creek at the Carving Trees or as intense as a multi-station relay race known as the Huawni Derby and Run for the Roses.
Outside of the scheduled activities, much of a camper's experience at Huawni is intended to be unplanned and spontaneous. A relaxing walk down the Camp road and conversation with a friend after supper can highlight an action-packed day. Camp Huawni encourages its staff to always be alert for these special moments. |
| Daily Activities |
During regular activity days, campers are divided by age into small activity groups and are scheduled into three activity periods in the morning and three in the afternoon. Campers participate in a variety of activities, including:

| Mealtime is funtime at Camp Huawni |
Everyone LOVES eating together at Camp Huawni...our Dining Hall is swarming with activity at mealtime. Campers and counselors are always singing, cheering, and dancing, which makes for a fun celebration of great food!
Meals at Camp Huawni are planned so campers get a variety of healthy, nutritious, and most of all great tasting and kid-friendly food. Breakfast choices always include milk and cereal. Fresh fruits and vegetables are included on the daily menu and the salad bar is standard fare at lunch and dinner. Special diets (i.e. vegetarian) can be arranged; however, the director must be contacted in advance.
Campers are encouraged to eat three full meals a day to accommodate Camp Huawni's active program. Snacks are provided at break in the afternoon and just before lights out at night. |
